/Events and Weddings at Roundhouse Beacon Falls - One of our favorite homes away from home. This installment will be focusing on one rather new venue we are madly in love with: The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls. If you missed our first entry, go back and read those reviews of Husdon Valley venues as well. This is the second of five blog entries, covering the best Hudson Valley has to offer.
Happily, weddings continue to be planned as full weekend or even week long celebrations; quality time with family and friends. This venue and its location is the perfect choice to give guests a break from the hustle and bustle.
Destination weddings are fabulous but often times at the expense of feeling as though you have a firm grasp on your special day. Close enough to plan your wedding and far enough to feel away from it all; I ask you to consider Hudson Valley!
The area offers many activites for people staying the weekend. Historical sites such as Boscobel House & Gardens (also a wedding venue site for a tented affair) and museums such as the cutting edge and famous Dia Art Foundation most well know for its first location in Chelsea NYC. For more art attractions you can visit Art Along The Hudson. From hiking and biking trails, to stopping at the Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall on you way into the area, the most popular premium outlet in all of america. Plus, if you are a foodie such as myself, southern to northern hudson valley is blanketed with fabulous cuisine both upscale and more casual restaurants, a spin off of the famous CIA - Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, NY. Waterfall Room at Roundhouse
I have to be honest, this venue is by far one of my favorites; you can return to it for years. It is the farthest thing from a banquet hall, having an acclaimed restaurant, Swift, separate from the event space, a yoga studio (thumbs up), spa services and stylish, modern and comfortable overnight accomodations. With all of that in one place, The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls is also an excellent location to host a corporate retreat. Not to mention the hiking trails, scenery and art galleries also in this area. Furthermore, this is a venue that a true foodie can appreciate. I highly suggest treating yourselves to a weekend getaway, yoga class of course and fine meal!
Its archtechture and design is brought to us by the Rockwell Group whose many properties include both the stylish W Union Square, as well as, Canyon Ranch Miami. This modern venue has a clean look, impeccable quality furnishings, while also a warmth that is added by bringing nature inside. Many of the overnight rooms, as well as the waterfall event room and Swift Restaurant, overlook a stunning waterfall. Huge wrought iron framed windows dress the walls with the outdoors, while distressed brick, handmade furnishing and museum quality artwork also set the stage for a sophisticed and hip destination.
