Classic Wedding in Greenwich, CT @ Belle Haven Club
/I always love a simple, classic waterfront wedding! When these weddings are hosted at the Country Club the Bride or Groom or both of them frequented as children, the wedding really is taking place at a home away from home.
The Belle Haven Club sits on the most lovely of waterfronts, in a quiet and gorgeous neighborhood. This smart couple have nothing but happiness and success in front of them. This beautiful Southern Bride wanted to bring a bit of home up East while not dressing the place up too much, or trying too hard. Pineapples adorned the menus, lounge pillows, the invitation and the preppy and fun Groomsmen ties! Clean lime and grass green, with assorted whites and ivories were enough.
This couple remained quite calm while full of emotion. They moved into a new Townhouse in downtown Boston just two weeks prior to their wedding date! As if that is not enough to handle in the weeks leading up to one's wedding, the Bride was moving from Philly having just completed her MBA at UPENN Wharton School of Business and the Groom was entering his last semester of the MBA program at Columbia University. Oh and did we mention, the Bride was starting a new job in Boston just the next week?!
If you are Catholic and getting married in Fairfield County, CT and do not have your own home church, I strongly suggest taking a look at the historical and recently restored The Basilica of Saint John the Evangelist. Even if you are not Catholic or religious, this is one of those stunning Churches that will send goose bumps up your arms. It is awe-inspiring! You must take a walk inside if ever in the area.
Thanks for reading one of our back posts, as we build up our new blog with past entries of a few of our weddings!
