A: Each year we plan a different amount of weddings and other events. Who we book and for when depends upon how the calendar looks. We won’t take on a highly anticipated large wedding the weekend right after another of the same scope, as an example. On average Ashley takes on eight weddings with full planning and a few more with partial planning. We do have other planners that work with Ashley towards the end of planning and then execute the event day with Ashley not on-site. These arrangements are known up front and these planners have a great success rate, the same as Ashley. We also have repeat clients that come to us for help planning both their social and corporate events.
A: Design (and planning) is a process and a collaboration. We understand there are a handful of clients that initially worry that their wedding will be out of their own control and in ours. This idea can keep you from hiring the skilled planner or designer you simultaneously want! We would feel the exact same way if we were planning our own weddings and didn’t have any prior experience. This relationship is collaborative and our experience will be of great value to you. You wedding or event will look and feel how YOU want it to!
A: Planning for these two different guest counts is virtually the same. Furthermore, the time we accrue planning a wedding is far more considerable than the long hours we accrue the weekend of the wedding.
A: A venue’s coordinator is not the same as a planner. For one, your planner works for you and not the venue. The coordinator at the venue is concerned with sales and the prep involved in staffing and communicating with their on-site chef. If they aspire to more they do not have that experience yet and they also do not have the time. A venue coordinator has a ton more clients than an event planner. Furthermore there is a ton of prep outside of the details associated with catering.
A: We are usually the first people to arrive and the last to leave. Some of our day-of staff members will work the first half of the day and then others will come in for the later shift, and some stay the entire day, just depends upon the event or wedding.
